Commsquare is looking for motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our team.

• Commsquare implements telecom probing systems which generate active or passive measurements in telecom and mobile networks.
• The collected measurements are stored in data warehouses for later querying and retrieval. Furthermore, the measurements are processed in a data processing pipeline which calculates statistics and KPIs and performs deeper analytics for anomaly detection and root cause analysis.
• The whole information, i.e. measurements, statistics, KPIs, anomalies, alarms is presented in a tailor-made UI.
• The whole system comprises of Core (probing and measurements generation), backend (data storage and web services), Analytics (data processing) and UI domains. The system already follows a micro-service architecture and consists of several applications which communicate with one another.

• The goal of this internship is to implement a prototype for a containerized version of Core domain of the system above. The steps to be followed are stated below.
• Document applications of Core domain and study their role and inter-communication.
• Implement container files (Docker files) for each application.
• Create simple docker compose files which instantiate the Core system in basic setups.

• Micro-service architecture.
• Docker containers.
• Docker compose.

• Student of Electrical or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field.
• Good knowledge of Linux and Linux containers.
• Strong reasoning and analytical skills
• Fluency in English (spoken & written)
• Be a team player with good communication skills.
• Be self-motivated, willing to take initiative and ownership, solution oriented with a “can” do attitude.
