Commsquare is looking for motivated and enthusiastic interns to join our team.

• In the scope of Commsquare’s products and consulting services, various time-series measurements are generated, which are then processed and stored in data warehouses. This data is then available for querying and further analysis.
• When querying and analysing the data stored in the database, several delays or bottlenecks may appear. Such delays can be alleviated by applying different configuration on the system (Linux) level or by optimizing database schema and queries.

• Pinpoint delays and bottlenecks in query execution and processing.
• Investigate solutions to these delays by experimenting with changes in system, database schema and queries.
• Incorporate best solutions in produce code or processing pipeline.

• Linux system monitoring.
• SQL query optimization.

• Student of Electrical or Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar field.
• Good knowledge of Linux, SQL.
• Strong reasoning and analytical skills
• Fluency in English (spoken & written)
• Be a team player with good communication skills.
• Be self-motivated, willing to take initiative and ownership, solution oriented with a “can” do attitude.
