The foundation for our software applications is a high-speed data capturing and analysis platform developed by Commsquare. DataMonDataMon is an integrated tool combining the probe, connected to the Gn or Gp interface, with a powerful analysis engine and a very user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI). It captures and stores all signalling data and renders real-time user plane information for the tracing of users having specific problems, in their home-country or abroad, related to their mobile data traffic. The tool enables mobile operators to monitor, analyse and optimise the network quality more effectively. The GUI and customisable dashboard functionality quickly pin-point whether the problem is on radio side, in core network or in the server/application/internet domain.

All these different tools and services serve a specific need and often complement each other. Commsquare is active in the field of performance audits, drive-tests, the development of passive probing solutions and is now introducing DaP: it’s Distributed Active Probing solution. DaP is a stand-alone solution or is a valid complement to other tools and services for end-to-end quality monitoring. Monitor and Simulate QoE Commsquare’s Distributed Active Probing (DaP) solution consists of a small device to be installed in key test-locations (e.g. 20 key sites per country) and the Commsquare back-end infrastructure, providing web-based reporting on the relevant KPIs . This way, a Mobile Operator is able to quickly implement a non-intrusive test set-up, simulating the Quality of Experience (QoE) of it’s end-users. DaP is able to monitor and report the QoE behaviour of mass market users, business users or analyse the behaviour of your competitor’s services. The DAP device has a very small form factor (size of a big wallet), includes multiple SIMs and only needs to be powered to start sending its bundled KPI-info every 15 minutes to Commsquare’s back-end data-centre. The DAP devices are centrally controlled “over the air”.
